Oklahoma Health Care Authority Opens Applications for HIE Connectivity Assistance Program


In 2023, the Oklahoma Legislature passed the OSMA-supported bill, SB32X, appropriating $30 million to help physicians pay for one-time HIE connectivity fees. Last week, the Oklahoma Health Care Authority announced that physicians or their employers can apply for this funding through their website.

Connection Fee Assistance:
Any Organization that employs licensed health care providers in the State of Oklahoma is eligible to receive assistance.

Getting Connected:
Step 1: Apply to participate in Oklahoma’s health information exchange and obtain an order form.
Step 2: Complete an application through the office of the State Coordinator to receive assistance with one-time connection fee costs. Subscription fees are not included.
Step 3: Receive approval from the Office of the State Coordinator.
