Medicaid Expansion Passes Major Milestone
The Initiative Petition phase for State Question 802, full Medicaid Expansion in Oklahoma, has now concluded. Needing 178,000 valid registered voter signatures in order to be placed on a statewide ballot, Oklahomans Decide Healthcare, the not-for-profit organization created to organize the campaign, has turned in approximately 313,000 signatures to the Secretary of State’s office. After the official declaration of valid required signatures and the successful defense of any other legal challenges, Gov. Stitt will determine which of the upcoming 2020 statewide ballot election dates will contain SQ802.
