Pill Limit Law Becomes Effective November 1

The Oklahoma State Medical Association (OSMA) called and hosted a meeting of the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics; the MD and DO Licensure Boards; the governor's office as well as several physicians and medical- related organizations regarding the "pill limit" law which goes into effect on November 1. Working in conjunction with the boards and several specialties, the OSMA will soon provide a “Best Practices” document which will help answer questions concerning the new responsibilities placed upon the medical community.
