Oklahoma physicians were well represented at the AMA State Legislative Conference last week. Topics included the future direction of health policy, preserving the Medicaid safety net during times of change, bringing clinical decisions back to clinicians, ensuring access to quality care, telemedicine, the consolidating health care marketplace, and whether hundreds of new opioids laws helped patients. Attending from Oklahoma were Drs. Sherri Baker ,Kevin Taubman and Jack Beller as well as Ken King and Kathy Musson, OSMA staff. They will be bringing pro-medicine recommendations and influence to our state legislature.
