OHCA Eliminates 6% Rate Reduction for Medicaid  Services

Due to the passage of SB1XX during the Second Special Legislative Session, Oklahoma’s state Medicaid program (SoonerCare) funding was restored to the previous fiscal year’s level. The $17.7M appropriation needed to fill this shortfall through April 30, 2018, came from enhanced General Revenue dollars and therefore did not require additional or increased taxes or fees. This being the case, the Oklahoma Health Care Authority (OHCA) held an Emergency Meeting on Friday, December 29, and voted to eliminate the 6% reduction in Medicaid reimbursement payment levels. The OSMA was instrumental in creating a coalition with other medical-related organizations to support SB1XX. THANK YOU for responding to OSMA’s Call For Action…YOU made a difference!
