TIMELINE JOB DESCRIPTION
2009-2010
“All officers shall conform to the Bylaws and Rules of Procedure and parliamentary authority of the OSMA Alliance, and such other rules as the House of Delegates or Board of Directors shall adopt”
The treasurer shall:
Be custodian of all funds of the state alliance.
Deposit all funds in a depository approved by the Board of Directors.
Notify state office of address changes and additions.
Present a statement of accounts at all meetings of the Board of Directors and make a full report at the convention.
Submit accounts for audit to the president.
Be a member of the Finance Committee and serve as chairman the following year.
Notify component alliances of state and national dues
Send notice to constituent alliances two months prior to convention regarding the number of voting delegates to which they are entitled for state convention.
Designate the number of delegates based on the number of paid dues as of April 1, and if readjustment is necessary, it will be made at this time.
Be a member of the Planning and Development committee.
Shall remit all dues for MAL members and RPMSS members to the AMAA treasurer.
Assume the responsibilities of the records from the previous Treasurer.
Pay all authorized bills in a timely fashion. Deposit state dues for Members-At-Large, RPS/MSS. Forward updates for names, addresses, etc. to OSMAA State and VP Membership Chairs every two weeks. OSMAA Staff assistance; Nancy Bennett, bennett@okmed.org
Communicate with each County President and Treasurer in July advising the amount
of state dues and the procedures for sending membership information and monies.
Include information for processing AMA Foundation and Nurse’s Scholarship donation.
Write reimbursement funds to state and county delegates attending national convention as confirmed by the President.
Work with OSMA Staff to request allocations for budget.
Attend OSMAA Summer Retreat

Attend OSMAA Fall Board Meeting and present financial statements
Write reimbursement funds to state and county delegates attending LDC I as confirmed by the President.
Assist with and attend Finance Committee Meeting for 2010-11 Budget.

Write reimbursement funds to state and county delegate attending AMAA Capitol Conference.
Notify each County President membership number of delegates allocated for State
Convention (One delegate/25 members). See Article VI – State Convention in OSMAA By-laws. Forward copies of notification to State Convention Chair, President and Secretary. Deadline for membership numbers must be reported by March 31 to AMAA.

Attend OSMAA Convention Planning Meeting.

Attend OSMAA Annual State Convention.
Pay State Convention expenses before May 31, 2010.
