TIMELINE JOB DESCRIPTION

Collect and provide articles and information for the Summer Issue of the OSMAA
“Sooner Heartbeat” Magazine, herein after referred as SHB.
Write article on the OSMAA Annual Convention for SHB
July 1, 2009
Work closely with the OSMAA Staff in producing a schedule, content and layout for the issues of SHB. Suggested dates are: August, November, January & March, with deadlines at the first of that month. It takes approximately 7 -10 working days to prepare/print and mail the issues after the layout/content is completed. Since the OSMA staff has other responsibilities it is important to stick with the deadline dates established so that the issue gets to our members in a timely fashion. The easier and more efficient way is to do the newsletter online – eliminating the turnaround time. When newsletter is complete e-mail to Stacie Sawvell at sawvell@okmed.org and Nancy Bennett at OSMA Bennett@okmed.org . Stacie will put the newsletter in a PDF which makes it possible for all computers to open it. She and Nancy will then e-mail it to all members who have e-mail addresses. Always, in addition to suggested content, include “how to join the Alliance” and reasons for becoming/staying a member.
Attend OSMAA Summer Board Retreat.
Contact County Presidents, Board members and Committee Chairs to discuss information to submit to SHB, the schedule for submission and deadlines of each issue.
