TIMELINE JOB DESCRIPTION
2009-2010

The Health Promotion Chair will:

Serve as Chair of the Health Promotion Committee with counties’ Health Promotion Chairmen and promote quality of life through health education and service.

Act as liaison between the AMAA Health Promotion Chairman and the county Health Promotion Chairmen.

Help in the implementation of health projects initiated by the state and national alliances.

Assist County President and County Health Promotion Chair with health related

Attend OSMAA Summer Board Retreat

August 1, 2009
Deadline to write a Health Promotion article for the Sooner Heartbeat Magazine.  Submit to Debbie Sutor,  rsutor@cox.net

August 31, 2009
Submit a written report of county health projects for the OSMAA Fall Board Meeting.  Submit to Secretary, Kathy Bookman, paris02@hotmail.com and Nancy Bennett at Bennett@okmed.org  

September 14, 2009
Attend OSMAA Fall Board Meeting

October, 2009
Leadership Development Conference I, Chicago.  Try to attend LDC I or II.  Plan display board with OSMAA staff, Nancy Bennett, for the Conference. Contact President.

December 31, 2009
Provide a written report of county health projects to OSMAA Winter Board meeting.
Submit to Secretary, Kathy Bookman, paris02@hotmail.com

Write an Annual Report for the State Convention Notebook.  Submit to Nancy
Bennett, OSMAA, Bennett@okmed.org and Secretary Kathy Bookman at paris02@okmed.org    

Contact counties to encourage them to bring a health promotion display for State Convention.  SMAA will judge the displays for an award.

Update changes in the Timeline Job Description for the next officer.  Submit to
Debbie Sutor, rsutor@cox.net   

April 15--17 , 2010
Attend OSMAA Annual State Convention. Assist and oversee health project displays with State Convention Chair.
