OSMAA  STATE  CONVENTION  CHAIRMAN
TIMELINE  JOB  DESCRIPTION
2009-2010

The State Convention Chair will:

Work in conjunction with the President and the OSMA.

Plan convention details according to the President’s wishes.

Coordinate function for past president’s (i.e. Past President’s Breakfast) with senior member of the Alliance Advisory Committee.

June 1, 2009
Plan, with the assistance of the OSMAA Staff, the Annual State Convention.  Put together a State Convention Committee to assist you as necessary.  Include the President, President Elect and OSMA Staff member Nancy Bennett on that committee.

Attend OSMAA Summer Board Retreat

August 31, 2009
Provide a written report to the OSMAA Fall Board Meeting. Submit to Secretary, Kathy Bookman, paris02@hotmail.com and Nancy Bennett at Bennett@okmed.org 

September 14,  2009 – meeting date.
Attend meeting and present 2009 Annual State Convention updates.

December 31, 2009
Provide a written report to the Winter OSMAA Board Meeting. Submit to Secretary, Kathy Bookman, paris02@hotmail.com   

January 1, 2010
Write or E message County Presidents with information for State Convention.
OSMAA Staff to assist, Nancy Bennett, bennett@okmed.org

January 12, 2010– meeting date. 
Attend OSMAA Winter board meeting and present Annual State Convention updates.

Write an article for the January issue of the Sooner Heartbeat Magazine with a brief outline of the Annual Convention.  Submit to Editor, Debbie Sutor, rsutor@cox.net   

February 27, 2010
Submit report for the Pre-Convention Planning Meeting.  Submit to Secretary, Kathy Bookman, paris02@hotmail.com

 

March 1, 2010
Write an Annual Report for the State Convention Notebook.  Submit to Nancy Bennett, bennett@okmed.org

Assist OSMAA Staff with collecting and reviewing convention reports.

Update changes in the Timeline Job Description for the next officer.  Submit to
Debbie Sutor, rsutor@cox.net

March 8, 2010
Attend OSMAA Pre-Convention planning meeting.

April 15--17, 2009
Attend OSMAA Annual State Convention.

Assist the President and Chairpersons with awards and displays for the Convention

Write a follow-up article about the Convention for the Sooner Heartbeat Magazine.
