COUNTY MEDICAL SOCIETY ALLIANCES
(Dues vary upon county)
The purpose of county medical alliances is to promote friendly relations and understanding among physicians and their families; to assist the Oklahoma State Medical Association in their programs for the advancement of medicine and health education; and to coordinate and implement the activities of the State and National Alliances. Oklahoma is a unified state, therefore Alliance members are required to belong to the county, state and national Alliances.
The following ten counties currently have Alliances; and, information on county dues is available directly from their President:

OKLAHOMA STATE MEDICAL ASSOCIATION ALLIANCE
(Dues $25)
The OSMA Alliance works in partnership with the Oklahoma State Medical Association (OSMA) and the AMA Alliance to develop, implement and support educational programs to improve the public health; educate about legislative issues that impact the practice of medicine; serve as a resource for county Alliance; and provide support for the medical family.
OSMA Alliance Current Programs include:

• Extinguisher Anti-Tobacco Program for children
• Health Literacy Program
• Obesity Program
• Alcohol Awareness Program
• Medical Marriage Workshops
• SAVE Today - Domestic Violence
• Herpes and the Consequences of the Epidemic Among our Children - CME Program
• Faux Paw Internet Safety

AMERICAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION ALLIANCE

The mission of the AMA Alliance is to partner with physicians to promote the good health of America and support the family of medicine. The AMA Alliance members are men and women who care about improving the health and safety of their communities.
The AMA Alliance includes:
• A Nationwide Support Network
• Advocacy for Health Initiatives
• Resources for States and Counties
• Leadership Development Training
• Fundraising for Medical Scholarships
The AMA Alliance specifically addresses concerns and problems unique to the medical family. There is strength in numbers - join is as we work together toward building a healthier America.
